Clark Appler Optical is a family owned and operated independent optical boutique located in Towson, Maryland. We offer personalized assistance along with the latest in lens technology and a carefully curated selection of frames to meet our customers preferences and needs in order to help them achieve their best possible vision.

Clark Appler Optical has long history in the optical business. Originally named Clark Appler Opticians, the business was established in 1931 as a partnership between Brooke H. Appler and his son-in-law, James S. Clark. Two years later with the addition of a third partner, John Loeber, it was renamed, Clark Appler Loeber, which is a name many Baltimoreans still remember today.

Today, Clark Appler Optical is operated by John Appler, a 4th generation optician, and his wife Tara.
